Shiba Inu (SHIB) is a decentralized meme token, powered by Ethereum's blockchain. It was created as an 'experiment in decentralized spontaneous community building' by sponsored burning of tokens. Recently, the Shibburner (which is a popular Shiba Inu burn initiative) has hinted at the launch of Web3 projects that will be integrated on its revamped website. These projects will include a marketplace, wallet and some surprises, all powered by the SHIB token.

In addition, the Shibburner made known an update regarding the total burning of SHIB. It has previously tracked burns that occur within verified burn addresses; however, some transactions have been sent to the SHIB contract address and are unrecoverable. Also, it has been informed of other transactions that were sent to other contracts with renounced ownership, which will be updated soon.

The total SHIB burnt from the initial supply of 1 quadrillion tokens is now 410,630,074,492,220, and the total supply is now 589,369,925,507,779 SHIB. This year, 6,782,788,547 tokens were burned, with the addition of 326,548,824 tokens sent to the SHIB contract. And, for the year 2022, 100,497,889,339 SHIB have been burned with 83,347,071,504 tokens sent to dead wallets and 17,150,817,835 SHIB unaccounted for (these were sent to the contract).

All these numbers clearly show the progress made, and the potential of the SHIB token. With more and more projects integrating SHIB, it could signify a significant increase in the usage of Shiba Inu coin with the Web3 applications. As promised, the Shibburner will continue to provide updates and more details on the upcoming projects soon.
