In the last 24 hours, large amounts of XRP tokens have been moved in various transactions by anonymous wallets. Notable transfers of 177,149,618 and 177,149,660 XRP tokens (both slightly more than $91.5 million in fiat) were made between unknown addresses. In addition, Whale Alert noticed payments of 32,996,870 XRP, 30,000,000 XRP and 50,000,000 XRP being sent from UpBit exchange to an anonymous wallet, from an unknown wallet to the Bitstamp crypto trading platform, and from Crypto.com to an anonymous wallet respectively.

At the same time, the price of XRP has remained in the $0.5 zone. Although there was a slight decline of 4% recently, bringing the price to $0.5039, the developers of the cryptocurrency are confident that this is only a temporary setback and anticipate its price to go back up shortly.

Since December 2020, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is involved in legal disputes with Ripple Labs and its executives Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen fueled by the allegation of selling XRP tokens as unregistered securities. This controversy has caused many leading crypto exchanges, like Coinbase and Binance US, to delist XRP completely and inadvertently decrease the utility of this cryptocurrency. While the case is expected to result in the ruling during the first half of 2023, the crypto community currently remains in anticipation of the future of XRP.
