Cryptocurrency influencer Lark Davis is stoking the flames of an exciting Bitcoin price prediction - that BTC will reach an all-time high of $1 million. However, this ambitious projection is counteracted by his seeming facetiousness that BTC could just as easily go the other way too. Evidence of these high hopes can be found in recent comments from Balaji Srinivasan, Coinbase's former Chief Technology Officer and a16z partner, that he would bet a million dollars that BTC would hit the $1 million mark in the coming three months.

The crypto community has reacted to Davis' prediction with numerous responses, though most remain skeptical, as evidenced by the results of a recent Twitter poll run by Davis. Here, nearly 12,000 respondents just over a third voted that the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto could have been the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

Recent on-chain transactions are also suggesting that Bitcoin price optimism abounds, as Santiment data agency flagged a single transfer of 23,500BTC worth roughly $710 million. This is, unsurprisingly, the fourth largest Bitcoin transaction this year - a demonstration that the crowds are truly polarizing and more large moves are becoming commonplace following BTC's recent record breaking $30,000 price level. It seems that the astronomical projections of Bitcoin reaching $1 million may not be so outrageous afterall.
