Chiru Labs and IPX have partnered up to create new opportunities for their jointly held BEANZ NFTs and LINE FRIENDS characters. Through this strategic collaboration, the two companies will combine their innovative content, merchandise, retail distribution, and real-life activations with metaverse experiences. To symbolize their union, a billboard featuring LINE FRIENDS characters will be unveiled in Times Square during NFT.NYC.

The Azuki brand, which is owned by Chiru Labs, is highly successful due to their acquired learning from previous NFT projects. Established in January 2022, Azuki has clearly thrived and seen a net result of an estimated $887 million in just under two years. As part of their pioneering, Chiru Labs is thought to be the company behind the creation of ‘physical backed tokens’ (PBTs), often referred to as ‘golden skateboards’, of which they sold 8 pieces and generated $2.5 million.

The brand has encountered a few bumps throughout their development, such as the abandonment of previous NFT projects, followed by their main Twitter account being hacked. Whilst both of these minor issues were quickly resolved, the TEAM highly values their connected Discord community, alerting their channel of any new incidents as soon as they arise.

As the IP industry continues to evolve, companies like Chiru Labs and IPX are helping shape the way that the communities and brands interact. The roadmap of both of these companies reflects the forward-thinking approach of metaverses and web3, that has been so prominent throughout 2021. Their collaboration looks to utilise both of their specialities in order to create fun, innovative experiences for their mutual fans.
