Gate Pay, a cryptocurrency payment service offering of crypto exchange firm Gate.io, has established an alliance with CityPay.io, a startup in Georgia devoted to crypto payments. Thanks to this strategic partnership, more than 600 merchants in Georgia can now benefit from decentralized currency payment alternatives. The main objective of this collaboration is to bridge the gap between Web3 and people's everyday lives.

Wendy's, a restaurant chain, has joined forces with CityPay.io as one of their partners, allowing customers to pay for their meals using cryptocurrency. Gate Pay's director, Feng Zhou, pointed out that the primary aim of Gate Pay is to link users to businesses, products and applications that are crypto friendly, and subsequently, boost Web3 adoption.

Not only does this partnership between Gate Pay and CityPay.io offer merchants and customers a Web3 shopping experience; it also indicates the commitment of Gate.io to extend its business operations. On February 22, the company affirmed its plans to apply for a crypto license in Hong Kong for the establishment of Gate HK.

Georgia is at the vanguard of global crypto acceptance, having passed remarkable crypto regulations that have motivated crypto firms to open offices in the region.
