The 2013 acclaimed drama/comedy The Wolf of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie and Jonah Hill is being brought to the Web3 with a series of Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from Aventus Network. Red Granite Pictures, the rights holders of this hit movie, have joined forces with Aventus, a web3 solutions provider to bring the ‘The Wolf of Wall Street Experience’. It will provide exclusive access to content, rewards, and exclusive experiences.

This comes after a notable year for the real life ‘Wolf of Wall Street’, Jordan Belfort. Not only was he featured as a cameo in the film, but Belfort became a ‘cryptocurrency guru’ in April 2021. To add, he even spent over $400,000 on a Cryptopunk in October 2021.

This ‘The Wolf of Wall Street Experience’ will also feature a series of select NFT drops to be released in Q2 of 2023, with purchasers obtaining limited access to an invite-only event celebrating the film's ten-year anniversary. NFTs will be hosted on Polkadot for the variety of benefits that it provides such scalability, speed, and security. Plus, it will be able to be used on 50+ blockchains, such as Ethereum.

The Wolf of Wall Street is a critically acclaimed and commercially successful telling of the life of Jordan Belfort. The movie follows the story of Belfort and his criminal career, filled with fraudulent and unethical behavior, as well as his ultimate conviction for securities fraud and money laundering. The film is highly retrospective, exploring various themes such as greed, corruption, and the pursuit of the American Dream and was highly praised for its strong performances and energy. The movie was also nominated for and could have won, a variety of awards, including five Oscars, though it won none. Furthermore, it earned the Guinness World Record for “most swearing in a film”.
