The Venice.AI project, led by Erik Voorhees, has switched its model to DeepSeek in an attempt to regain attention. The AI agent project, which offers personalized chat and claims zero censorship, recently airdropped its token to users. The Venice token reached 250K wallets initially but consolidated to around 40K wallets. The project also opened its API to integrate with third-party apps and introduced staking for its token, allowing users to pay for inferences and earn passive income. The Venice.AI company will retain 35% of the token supply, while incentives and liquidity will account for 15%. The launch of the token on Base resulted in a fully diluted valuation above $1.2B.
