Ethereum has launched Ethproofs.org, a platform aimed at improving the performance of zkEVM protocols on its network. The platform will evaluate the performance of zero-knowledge virtual machines (zkVMs) using real Ethereum blocks, with the goal of achieving zk-SNARK validation on every block. Currently, validation times using this technology are longer than desired, but Ethproofs aims to reduce these times progressively to less than 12 seconds by 2025. This improvement will enhance Ethereum's scalability, security, and efficiency. The platform plans to incorporate advanced setups like GPU clusters to further reduce proof generation times. Additionally, the Ethereum Foundation has allocated 50,000 ETH for testing in the DeFi ecosystem and is preparing for the Pectra upgrade in March to enhance network speed and data handling. The market has responded positively to these developments, with a slight increase in ETH's price. Investors anticipate a positive impact on ETH's value with the implementation of these upgrades.
