The debate between Bitcoin advocates and XRP fans has intensified, with Ripple being accused of lobbying against a Bitcoin reserve. Garlinghouse's statement seemingly confirmed Ripple's lobbying efforts, arguing against maximalism in the crypto industry. Bitcoin proponents have criticized Ripple, with some calling it a "failed company" and accusing it of spending millions on propaganda campaigns against Bitcoin. The likelihood of the US government creating a national Bitcoin reserve currently stands at 55% in 2025.
