Chief investment officer at Bitwise, Matt Hougan, believes that the current market correction will be short-lived based on historical patterns. Bitcoin has typically outperformed following short-term dips, with an average increase of 189% over one year compared to 7% for gold. This comes as the US stock market experienced a significant decline after the release of a powerful model by Chinese startup DeepSeek, causing Nvidia shares to drop by over 17%. Despite this, Bitcoin has shown strength by quickly recovering and currently trading above the $100,000 level. Market observers have noted that Bitcoin has outperformed the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 index during the recent sell-off, despite the latter having a larger market cap. Additionally, Bitcoin is just 8% away from its record high set a week prior.
