The crypto market in Indonesia has experienced significant growth, with trading volume reaching $40.2 billion, a 336% increase from the previous year. The surge is attributed to increased user participation and transaction volumes. Indonesia currently has 22.1 million registered crypto users, and this number is expected to reach 25 million soon. The most actively traded digital assets in the country include Bitcoin, Tether, Dogecoin, PEPE, and XRP. Cryptocurrency oversight in Indonesia will soon be transferred from the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency to the Financial Services Authority. Commodity futures trading in the country also saw a significant increase, reaching $2 trillion. Despite the growth, security threats remain, as an exchange in Indonesia suffered a cyberattack resulting in millions of dollars in losses.
