The price of Bitcoin experienced a significant drop of $7,000 within an hour, resulting in losses for altcoins such as DOGE, ADA, XRP, SOL, and others. This decline follows a similar pattern from the previous week when BTC dropped to just under $100,000 but then rebounded to a new all-time high of over $109,000. After some volatility during the inauguration of former President Donald Trump, Bitcoin remained above $100,000 but saw a slight decrease over the weekend. However, during the Asian trading session on Monday, BTC's price dropped significantly, currently down 5% on the day. Altcoins like Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Dogecoin, Cardano, and others have also experienced double-digit declines. The overall market capitalization of all crypto assets has seen a decrease of over $250 billion, reaching a multi-week low of $3.5 trillion.
