Ripple has obtained Money Transmitter Licenses (MTLs) in New York and Texas, expanding its regulatory approvals and strengthening its position in the US. The licenses bring Ripple's total US MTLs to over 50 and its global regulatory approvals to more than 60. The company's regulatory approvals also include Virtual Asset Service Provider registrations with the Central Bank of Ireland and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. Ripple's payments business has doubled in the last year, and it has added several North American customers. The company is expanding its presence in the US and has recently opened new offices in San Francisco and New York. The announcement coincides with the SEC introducing a new accounting bulletin and forming a crypto task force to facilitate regulatory frameworks for crypto services.
