Bitcoin's short-term-holding whales, accounts holding 1,000+ BTC each for less than 155 days, have accumulated a massive amount of the cryptocurrency. These new whales now control over 60% of all BTC value stored in large-cap accounts. Unlike long-term holders, these new whales are actively involved in trading and react quickly to market changes. Their dominance has been increasing since Bitcoin hit $55,000 and their activity is seen as a bullish indicator for the market. Despite a recent dip in crypto prices due to market concerns over a new Chinese AI model, Bitcoin managed to recover and is trying to stay above $101,000.
