The SEC's case against Ripple entered a new stage of legal clarity last month when Analisa Torres excluded the testimony of SEC expert witness Patrick Doody. This legal decision has become known as a "Daubert ruling" and means that testimony is inadmissible. Given that this happened on March 6, John Deaton, a pro-crypto lawyer and legal representative for XRP holders, suggests that the SEC's case against Ripple could be resolved by May 6. This is based on the past experiences of a case by this same judge who gave a summary judgment 60 days after the Daubert decision. However, Deaton is quick to point out that this is not a definite date and there can always be unexpected delays. Overall, this gives crypto enthusiasts a better idea of when the SEC's case against Ripple will be settled, although it can still take longer due to unexpected occurrences.
