Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK) - the blockchain research and development company - has recently joined forces with MELD, a decentralized finance protocol built on the Cardano blockchain, to tackle an issue that was affecting transaction processing on the preprod testnet. In a tweet, IOHK confirmed they are working closely with the MELD team to reach a solution and thanked them for bringing the issue to their attention.

The DeFi project delayed their mainnet launch due to this issue, to ensure the security of user assets. They also revealed that they are working together with Input Output Global's (IOG) engineers to figure out how to best address the issue, with further updates to be provided during April.

The recent collaboration between IOHK and MELD shows the Cardano partner's commitment to addressing any issues that might impact the blockchain platform and its users. Both teams have expressed their appreciation of each other, IOHK for the initiative of MELD and MELD for the support of IOG.

In addition, MELD announced they will open-source their smart contracts, and once the problem is solved, they will adjust the code base and launch their protocol on the mainnet. As IOHK stated, they will continue to support MELD and remain committed to collaborating with DApp and DeFi projects that are building on Cardano responsibly.
