Cryptocurrency has remained a growing phenomenon for the past few years, with Bitcoin taking the majority of the spotlight. However, altcoins have also been making waves that attract the attention of the crypto market. In the past 24 hours, Ripple (XRP) has seen the highest gains in the top 100 altcoins, pushing above the $0.5 level. Bitcoin, in comparison, has encountered a few difficulties around the key $28,000 level, although its overall dominance has increased slightly. Most other altcoins have seen minor losses on the day, save for Enjin Coin (ENJ) and Injective's INJ, up around 12% and 10%, respectively. DogeCoin, however, was affected by the decision of Twitter to revert back to its original logo, causing a drop of 10% in its price. This goes to show that the crypto market is filled with a vast variety of coins, each offering its own set of characteristics. The altcoin market may be underperforming in comparison to Bitcoin, but Ripple's XRP is a great indicator that some altcoins may still find success in the ever-evolving cryptocurrency landscape.
