QuickSwap, the first decentralized exchange (DEX) to be launched on Polygon's zkEVM Mainnet Beta, is a platform designed for optimal privacy, efficiency, scalability, and safety. It combines zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-Rollups) with the Ethereum Layer 2 upgrade solution to permit quick transaction validation and finality.

zkEVM is a virtual machine with an architecture adapted from the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). It is used to sign off on huge batches of transactions with just a single zero-knowledge proof, resulting in shorter transaction times, lower fees and improved finality. Currently, QuickSwap leverages this technology on Dogechain and zkEVM, in addition to Polygon.

The main advantage of using the ZK Rollups layer 2 solution is the increased transactions per second (TPS) that come at a much lower cost, when compared to the current Ethereum Mainnet system. Moreover, it also offers a degree of protection and privacy that is not possible with Ethereum alone. As a result, QuickSwap has become a major player in the DeFi space and plans to continue rolling out more products and features for the benefit of its users.
