Schwartz clarified that all previous accounts are reflected in ledger 32,570, so functionally, nothing is lost. However, the missing history still fuels speculation and raises concerns about XRP's credibility, transparency, and the distribution of premined XRP. While Bitcoin supporters argue that its full historical record gives it an edge, Ripple's CTO explained that there was no real reason to start over and lose even more history. Despite the missing ledgers, XRP's peer-to-peer network and communication system still function effectively. However, the perception of the missing ledgers remains a point of contention.
