Forbes has released its annual "Best Crypto Exchange" ranking, with a focus on retail crypto traders' preferences. The top spot was secured by CME Group, a Chicago-based futures exchange known for its high regulatory standards. Coinbase, the largest bitcoin custodian globally, ranked second, and Bitstamp, a Luxembourg-based exchange, took third place. Binance, the world's largest exchange by trading volume, came in fourth, and Robinhood secured fifth place. The research also highlighted the increasing importance of asset safety, liquidity, and spread costs in overall trading expenses. According to Forbes, there are currently over half a billion crypto users globally. The rankings demonstrate a shift towards security and compliance in the crypto exchange industry amid regulatory scrutiny.
