Apollo, an investment firm with over $730 billion in assets under management, has partnered with security token specialist Securitize to offer investors a new tokenized private credit fund. The fund, called Apollo Diversified Credit Securitize Fund (ACRED), is accessible via a feeder fund and is the first public on-chain offering for Apollo's accredited investors. It is also the first integration for Securitize with the Solana blockchain and Ink, a layer-2 network built by Kraken. The fund invests in corporate direct lending, asset-backed finance, and structured credit. It aims to provide higher yields and diversify portfolios in the on-chain space. Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo sees private credit tokens as a complement to treasuries, especially in a low-interest-rate environment. Securitize is using its partnership with Wormhole to offer a multichain approach, and it is the tokenization partner of BlackRock. Apollo has participated in tests of tokenized assets in the past and is looking to collaborate with teams in the digital assets ecosystem to explore areas like decentralized finance.
