Austin King, co-founder of Omni Network, highlighted the strategic alignment between XRP and the ISO 20022 messaging standard. He stated that Ripple was the first crypto project to prioritize ISO 20022 compliance, enabling XRP to process over $434 billion in transactions daily. The ISO 20022 standard is used by financial institutions for interoperability, and major banks like J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank already utilize it. Ripple's early adoption of this standard could give it an advantage in bridging the gap between traditional finance and decentralized finance. While XRP itself is not directly compliant with ISO 20022, Ripple's involvement with the standard could lead to greater adoption of XRP in traditional financial systems. Omni Network is actively developing a mechanism to integrate ISO 20022 compliance into Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, aiming to become the first stablecoin to fully adhere to the standard. Omni Network and Ripple are also working together to tokenize traditional financial assets using the XRP Ledger, with the goal of positioning XRP at the core of the on-chain economy.
