CryptoRank.io recently shared metrics ranking top blockchains based on the number of new wallet addresses created in the last seven days. Coinbase-powered L2 blockchain network Base emerged as the top-performing blockchain, with 2.8 million new wallets created. BNB, Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum also performed well, attracting millions of new wallet addresses. Other chains that made the list include Optimism, SEI, Celo, Sonic, Ronin, and Avalanche. Despite a price decrease, Ethereum saw impressive interest, while the surge in wallet creation was driven by increased adoption of DeFi platforms.
