Grayscale Investments has added Cardano (ADA) to its Smart Contract Fund, joining other cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche. Cardano holds a 18.23% allocation in the fund, securing the third spot behind Solana and Ethereum. The fund follows a market cap-weighted approach with a 30% cap on each asset during quarterly rebalancing. Grayscale's Smart Contract Platform Fund allows investors exposure to blockchain ecosystems without directly owning digital assets. The inclusion of Cardano reflects institutional investors' recognition of its progress in the smart contract space and its focus on scalability and security.
