Japanese company Metaplanet, known for its adoption of Bitcoin, is facing losses on its investments as the cryptocurrency's price drops to a three-month low. Bitcoin has experienced a sharp downturn in the past week, with prices dropping to levels last seen in November 2024. Metaplanet currently holds 2,235 BTC, valued at $179.54 million, representing a 2.0% loss on its investments. The company's stock has also suffered a significant decline. However, Metaplanet remains committed to Bitcoin and plans to accumulate 10,000 Bitcoins by the end of 2025 and 21,000 by the end of 2026 through various initiatives. The company recently issued zero-interest bonds worth ¥2 billion ($13.3 million) to purchase Bitcoin.
