Fantasy sports company DraftKings has reached a settlement in a lawsuit filed by purchasers of its non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The company has agreed to pay $10 million into a settlement fund to cover legal fees, settlement costs, and compensation for class members. The lawsuit alleged that DraftKings' NFTs were unregistered securities. The settlement comes after a US District Court judge denied DraftKings' attempt to dismiss the case, leading to the closure of its NFT fantasy sports offering, DraftKings Reignmakers. A final approval hearing for the settlement is expected later this year. Shares of DraftKings have seen a small increase following the news.
