Michael Saylor, founder of Strategy, faced criticism from the crypto community after suggesting that Bitcoin holders should sell one of their kidneys instead of selling their Bitcoin when the cryptocurrency's price fell below $80,000. Critics condemned the statement as irresponsible and highlighted health and ethical concerns surrounding organ selling. This is not the first time Saylor has advocated extreme measures for Bitcoin investment, as he has previously encouraged investors to liquidate assets and maximize credit card debt to buy Bitcoin. Despite some believing his statement was a bad joke or hyperbole, critics argue that Saylor's prominent role in the crypto space necessitates more responsible public communication. The price of a human kidney on the black market ranges from $50,000 to $120,000, but organ trafficking is illegal in most countries. Saylor's company, Strategy, currently holds 499,096 Bitcoin valued at approximately $41 billion, and the price of Bitcoin at press time was $83,500.
