Banks used social media to promote the tokens, including the White Moses (MOSES) meme coin, which quickly gained value before crashing after the deployer wallet sold its stash. Banks insists that he does not like cryptocurrency or meme coins and sees them as "sinister" and "twisted". However, he claims to have raised $50,000 through the scheme and donated it to charities supporting the crisis in Gaza. Some view Banks as a "Robin Hood-like" figure, while others express concerns about the potential harm to the Palestinian movement and the possibility of legal issues arising from the stunt.
