The Aave community has proposed a distribution plan for the 300,000 Operation (OP) tokens received as a result of Phase 0 of the OP Stimpack incentive fund. This proposal was created to determine the allocation of the received tokens and to gain the support of the community. According to the proposal, the Aave Grants DAO (AGD) collective has up to 100,000 OP to distribute for grants and for organizing events and bounties for an ongoing AGD cycle. The remaining 200,000 OP will remain in the AGD multisig wallet so they can be re-allocated in future AGD cycles.

Earlier this year, the Aave community voted to abandon Aave V2 as a necessary step in pooling liquid assets onto a single protocol. The proposed allocation of the funds is in line with the initial post on the Optimism forum that allocated two-thirds of the 100,000 OP for grants and one-third for events. This vote is for the community to approve of the plan of distributing the funds and no further AIP or governance action is needed after the vote.

The funds from the OP Stimpack incentive fund are being used to jumpstart the development of Aave on the Optimism platform. With the help of the founds from the AGD, projects to support the growth of Aave on Optimism have already been funded. It is important for the community to decide how the large sum of tokens should be allocated for future projects and endeavors.

Investors are encouraged to conduct their own research before making any investments. As with any investment, there is a risk of losing capital. By voting on the distribution of the OP Stimpack incentive fund, the community can help support the development of Aave on Optimism and the continued growth of the entire Aave community.
