Tether, a stablecoin issuer, has reported profits of $13 billion in 2024 and reached all-time highs in its holdings of U.S. Treasury, circulation of USD₮, and reserve buffer. In the last quarter alone, the company earned $6 billion. Tether also issued $23 billion worth of USDT in Q4 2024, increasing its total issuance to $45 billion by the end of the year. The company's investments in U.S. Treasuries reached a record high of $113 billion. The report was audited by BDO, an independent audit firm. Tether is considered to be the most profitable company per employee, with a figure of $85.6 million. The company plans to expand into new areas such as artificial intelligence, telecommunications, education, renewable energy, and bitcoin mining.
