Bitcoin advocate Pierre Rochard has launched another attack on Ripple, accusing the fintech company of supporting the creation of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). Rochard shared evidence of a conversation between notable figures in the crypto industry discussing Ripple's removal of information about CBDCs from its website, following a speech by former US President Donald Trump at a Bitcoin conference in Nashville in 2024. This comes after reports suggested that XRP could be adopted by the US government, prompting Rochard to make a series of critical posts about Ripple. The Ripple team has yet to respond to Rochard's latest accusations.
