Coinbase director Conor Grogan has speculated that Kraken and its founder, Jesse Powell, may have access to the real identity of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto. This speculation comes after blockchain data provider Arkham indexed 22,000 wallets believed to be controlled by Nakamoto. Grogan acknowledged the merits of Arkham's research, which provided new evidence about Bitcoin's early activity. One of the wallets highlighted by Arkham was linked to a withdrawal address registered at Canadian crypto exchange CaVirtEx, which was acquired by Kraken in 2016. Grogan suggests that Kraken and Powell could potentially have access to Satoshi's real identity through customer data retained from CaVirtEx. The mystery surrounding Nakamoto's identity has persisted for 16 years, and many in the crypto community believe it is best for Satoshi to remain anonymous.
