Aptos Labs has achieved a major breakthrough in blockchain technology with their new execution engine, Shardines, allowing the blockchain Aptos (APT) to process up to 1 million transactions per second (TPS). This milestone in horizontal scalability is expected to accelerate the growth of web3 by decoupling consensus from storage and enabling independent scaling. Aptos Labs also announced another development called Zaptos, which aims to achieve sub-second finality at 20,000 TPS and has the potential to impact sectors such as decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, and crypto payments. Aptos has also integrated with Chainlink and Aave v3 deployment, further solidifying their position in the crypto industry.
