Standard Chartered, a British multinational bank, predicts that Bitcoin will reach $500,000 before Donald Trump finishes his term as President of the United States. The bank believes that this price surge will be the result of a more favorable regulatory environment and increased investor access to the cryptocurrency. Standard Chartered expects Bitcoin to reach $200,000 by 2025, steadily increasing to $500,000 in 2028 before plateauing. The bank cites the introduction of Bitcoin ETFs in the US in 2024 as a key factor in driving this growth. Additionally, the bank believes that the repeal of certain regulations and Trump's order to evaluate a national digital assets stockpile will encourage other central banks to consider Bitcoin investments. Standard Chartered predicts that as volatility decreases and investor access improves, traditional investors will be attracted to Bitcoin, leading to further price appreciation.
