Crypto company Blockstream is opening a new office in Tokyo, Japan, in partnership with Diamond Hands and investment firm Fulgur Ventures. The company aims to promote the adoption of Bitcoin Layer-2 and self custody technologies in Japan, as well as the tokenization of real world assets. Blockstream plans to support local businesses in the bitcoin economy by offering treasury, payment infrastructure, and custody solutions. The move comes as Japanese corporates show increased interest in Bitcoin, with Blockstream aiming to establish a direct presence in one of its important markets.
