The Shukyamoto, or Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous, lead dev for the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency, has re-emerged to provide a much needed update to the Shiba Inu Army. After sparking the curiosity of members in the Telegram chat "Shibarium Tech," he opened up with the exciting news that he is currently working on something incredible with a team of other experts.

Kusama has been known to use metaphors to communicate the progress and development of the Shibarium project. After changing his Twitter bio to “in the lab”, he followed up with the release of an upbeat tune to ensure the community knows he’s hard at work.

Two months after the unveiling of the beta version of the Shibarium Layer 2 network, Puppynet, the total transaction count is over 4,639,223. To be precise, 891,165 transactions were reached on April 11th, marking the peak of activity thus far. Plus, 14 million wallets have been linked to the network, although 9 million of these wallets were created exclusively by one person.

However, Kusama’s team is continuing to make great strides despite the fact that the crypto world is still trying to make sense of the Layer 2 networks. Developing a fast and cheap crypto transaction protocol is something no one in the industry considered possible at just a few years ago. But, the team seems to have found success as Kusama revealed he is “head down working with an incredible team to do the impossible.”

So far, it looks like Shiba Inu is heading in the right direction. With the dedicated and passionate team, both Shytoshi Kusama and the Shiba Inu Army, the future for Shiba Inu looks optimistic.
