Cryptocurrency wallet provider Ledger has issued an important alert to XRP holders to protect their funds from fraudulent token allocation programs. According to the provider's tweet, these scams are designed to give unauthorized individuals control of XRP accounts. Ledger advised its users to never share their 24-word backup phrase and not to enter it into any website or app.

In a separate tweet, Ledger also confirmed some errors in the XRP account adding/sending process on its Ledger Live Mobile app. Nevertheless, the provider assured its users that this issue has no effect on the security of funds and urged them to use the latest version of the app. Ledger warned XRP holders to beware of scammers who try to take advantage of the situation and urged them not to send personal messages or enter recovery phrases into any website.

Ledger will continue to update the XRP community with more information once available. Recently, the company has also raised awareness about a scam strategy using fake versions of the Ledger Live app in an attempt to steal users’ funds.

With these latest alerts, Ledger is taking steps to ensure the safety of customer funds. The company encourages its users to be alert and trust only official sources of information to protect their XRP holdings.
