Saga, a Layer-1 blockchain focused on Web3 gaming, has partnered with Virtuals Protocol and others to launch Metropolis.lol, a reality arbitrage protocol that combines blockchain and AI technologies. Metropolis.lol serves as an open-source agent runtime for developers to create AI-centric applications and establish a decentralized society for AI agents. The partnership includes Virtuals Protocol, Eliza Labs, Wayfinder Foundation, and ai16z. The collaboration comes after Saga recently launched its Mainnet 2.0 and is set to launch its Liquidity Integration Layer in Q1 2025. The Virtuals Protocol has experienced increased demand, with its token VIRTUAL seeing a 30% surge. The integration of AI into blockchain, particularly through AI agents, has generated significant market interest, according to a recent CoinGecko report. Prominent figures like the CEO of OpenAI and the CEO of Nvidia have acknowledged the transformative potential of AI agents in various fields.
