Large companies in Argentina, including Bitfarms, Mercado Libre, and Globant, are leading the trend of holding bitcoin as part of their corporate reserves. Bitfarms, a BTC miner, holds nearly 870 BTC despite facing turmoil in its dispute with Riot. Mercado Libre, one of the largest e-tailers in Latam, stores 412 BTC, though these funds are owned by users of its crypto wallets. Globant, an IT and software engineering company, holds 15 BTC. This trend is expected to grow worldwide in the coming months, with hundreds of companies purchasing bitcoin, according to Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan.
