Ripple is set to introduce a stablecoin called RLUSD, which will be pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. The stablecoin will be available on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ethereum. Ripple's CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, has stated that RLUSD could serve as a bridge between the cryptocurrency industry and traditional finance. The team has been conducting private beta testing, with the recent XRP Ledger amendment allowing the stablecoin to be used in automated market makers. However, the product is not yet live and Ripple has issued a scam alert, warning users to be cautious of anyone claiming to distribute RLUSD.
