New data reveals that almost half of traditional hedge funds have exposure to crypto assets, a significant increase from previous years. A report by AIMA and PwC showed that 47% of hedge funds are now invested in crypto assets, up from 29% in 2023. Additionally, the survey found that 67% of those already invested in crypto plan to maintain their current exposure, while the rest plan to purchase more. The increased confidence is attributed to clearer regulations surrounding crypto. However, 76% of hedge fund managers who have not yet invested in crypto assets do not plan to do so in the next three years. Additionally, 66% of traditional hedge funds stated that they do not plan on incorporating Bitcoin ETFs into their strategies.
