Dutch police have conducted a lengthy investigation into a darkweb marketplace called Bohemia and Cannabia, resulting in the arrests of two administrators and the seizure of €8 million ($8.7 million) in cryptocurrency. The marketplace offered various illegal services such as malware and DDoS attacks, as well as a drug market predominantly selling cannabis. This is said to be the largest darkweb market ever discovered by the police, with 82,000 daily advertisements and 67,000 monthly transactions. The investigation began in 2022 and the marketplace collapsed in late 2023 due to service disruptions and a conflict with a developer. One admin, a 20-year-old from the UK, was apprehended in June, while the other, a 23-year-old Irish man, was arrested in August. Together, they made €5 million ($5.46 million) from running the site.
