Spot ether ETFs have struggled to generate the same level of demand as spot bitcoin ETFs, largely due to challenges such as the lack of staking yield in the ETFs and difficulty marketing Ethereum to investors. While spot bitcoin ETFs attracted nearly $19 billion in inflows within 10 months, ether ETFs have experienced $556 million in net outflows since their launch in July. The poor performance of Grayscale's ETHE, which has seen massive redemptions, has also had a negative impact on ether ETFs. Additionally, the complex nature of Ethereum's use-case and the relatively poor price performance of ether compared to bitcoin have contributed to the lackluster demand for ether ETFs.
