Google has recently launched a tool to enable the display of Ethereum wallet balance. This is made possible with the help of Google Cloud's BigQuery public dataset which assists in searching Ethereum wallet addresses as well as visualizing wallet holdings (which include ERC20, ERC 721, ERC1155 etc.). The feature does not currently support searching with ENS domains. Upon searching a wallet address of VitalikButerin, 0xd8dA6BF26964aF9D7eEd9e03E53415D37aA96045 on Google, the search result will present the balance of the wallet address as well as a link to Etherscan, as confirmed by Coincu. It should be noted that this feature is only available when the Google browser is set up on the English page.

Prior to Google's launch of this feature, Web2 platformed has the capability to show the Ethereum value of a wallet address. However, after a short period of time, this functionality was removed.

Recent reports also shared that Ethereum mainnet was facing technical issues which has caused the halting of block confirmations. The exact cause of this issue is currently under research and an update will be shared with the community as soon as possible.

Apart from the technical issue, it is clear that Ethereum has been performing exceptionally on the present cryptocurrency market. According to other reports there has been a 10% decrease in ETH volume in exchanges since the start of the year. After the collapse of FTX in late 2022, massive withdrawals of Ethereum from exchanges has been seen. Seeing the vast potential Ethereum has to offer, there is likely no benefit of holding it in an exchange and a large portion of it is allocated to self-custody and staking.

Investor Should be aware of the risks associated while investing in Cryptocurrencies. As the values of cryptocurrencies tend to fluctuate significantly and are not regulated by any governing body, investors should take caution and do thorough research before investing.
