Cryptocurrency had yet another rollercoaster of a day amidst alleged news of Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao being wanted by Interpol. This rumor appeared on Twitter and other crypto media platforms and caused a sudden drop of the most famous digital asset, Bitcoin, to $27,200. Subsequently, Changpeng Zhao had to clear out the news as false and Bitcoin resumed its price and is now standing at $28,000.

Additionally, the Dogecoin had a sudden surge after Tesla's CEO Elon Musk posted a Doge-related picture on his personal Twitter account, bumping the memecoin up to $0.1. On other hand, Shiba Inu also made some gain and is currently at $0.000011.

As for the losses, BNB, MATIC, ETH, SOL, LTC, and AVAX showed only slight movements. But XRP and ADA tumbled by 3.7% and 2%, respectively. The overall crypto market cap, on the other hand, dropped by $10 billion and currently stands at $1.175T.

Thus, it appears that the rumors had an especially strong affect on the market, dragging the famous asset and many alts along with it. Yet, it is noteworthy that the market cap is still reaching to higher grounds, even if much slowly than anticipated.
