Tether, the issuer of the popular USDT stablecoin, has failed to secure a court order to block its former bitcoin mining partner, Swan Bitcoin, from pursuing a lawsuit in California. The legal dispute between the two firms involves allegations of contract breaches and misuse of proprietary information regarding their collapsed mining venture. Tether accused Swan of seeking outside funding without consent, leading to a breakdown in their relationship. Tether sought an injunction to prevent Swan from continuing the case, but the UK High Court dismissed its request, stating that Swan was unlikely to exploit any information gained from the proceedings. Both Tether and Swan have filed lawsuits against each other, prolonging the conflict.
