Crypto exchange Bybit has been hit by a major theft, with hackers identified as North Korea's Lazarus Group laundering 45,900 ETH ($113 million) in the past 24 hours. This brings the total amount of laundered funds to 27% of the stolen funds. The hackers still hold 363,900 ETH ($900 million) in their wallets, and it is forecasted that it may take 8-10 days for the remaining ETH to be laundered. The theft is the largest known in history, surpassing Saddam Hussein's reported theft of $1 billion from Iraq Central Bank in 2003. The hackers have been using THORChain and the eXch platform to launder the stolen assets. However, some funds have been recovered by projects such as mETH Protocol and Tether.
