Riot Platforms vice president, Pierre Rochard, claims that Ripple Labs is actively lobbying against the establishment of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR) in the US. Rochard argues that Ripple opposes the SBR because it has a vested interest in promoting central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) that could operate on Ripple's infrastructure. He also alleges that Ripple attacked Bitcoin mining under the Biden administration. Rochard's remarks come as the idea of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve gains traction among crypto proponents as a way to strengthen the US dollar and safeguard national economic security. Reports have also surfaced suggesting that former President Donald Trump is discussing the creation of a US national reserve based on XRP, SOL, and USDC with Ripple. Neither Ripple nor its executives have responded to the accusations.
