Blockchain governance startup Agora has announced its acquisition of competitor Boardroom. Agora aims to enhance governance within the Ethereum ecosystem, capitalizing on expectations of increased growth in decentralized governance. The move comes in response to President Trump's promise of regulatory clarity for the blockchain industry, which is expected to drive renewed interest in decentralized governance. Agora was founded in 2022 and provides user-friendly governance tools for DAOs, while Boardroom offers data feeds for crypto governance. The acquisition details were not disclosed, but Boardroom employees will join Agora, with founder Kevin Nielsen remaining as an advisor. Both platforms will continue operating, and the integration process will be determined with user input. Agora sees a resurgence in DAOs and cites improved tooling and regulatory clarity as reasons for optimism.
