Galaxy CEO Mike Novogratz believes that artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming the new arms race. The Stargate Project, a joint venture involving OpenAI, Softbank, Oracle, and MGX, has secured $100 billion and pledged $500 billion for AI infrastructure development in the US, drawing comparisons to the Manhattan Project. Novogratz predicts that over $1 trillion will be spent on US data centers in the coming years. He suggests that Bitcoin miners could benefit from transitioning into the AI market, as it offers predictable cash flow streams, diversification of cash flows, and access to deep capital markets. However, miners need to upgrade their infrastructure to accommodate AI, including networking infrastructure and advanced cooling solutions.
